This three-month journey explored many of Europe's coastal regions. One objective was to find fresh views of some of the frequented places, and more importantly to discover some of those that are underappreciated and overlooked by the commercial tour groups. My European trek began with a week in London, followed by 5 days in Paris, then to Frankfurt where I rented a campervan to begin my 71 days cross-country journey with the coast of Normandy, France as my first destination. You can see the route: air travels in black, train travels in blue, campervan travels in red.
